Our millwright crews travel to jobsites to perform custom installation and repairs on various types of agricultural, grain handling, and other equipment from a wide variety of industries. Working year-round, work is performed both indoors and outdoors.

About Us:

Founded in 1945, Midwest Welding & Manufacturing is operated out of Reeseville, WI. We have a custom metal fabrication shop as well as service teams who travel in Wisconsin and surrounding areas to install and service grain handling equipment. MWM has continued to focus most of its efforts into honing skills and expertise in the areas of equipment design, fabrication, and repair of feed and grain equipment. Additionally, MWM has led many custom equipment design, repair, and fabrication projects in various fields such as:

Agricultural feed Construction materials Food processing Agronomy Power plants

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and legs, using hand tools and power tools

Keeps work truck and/or trailer clean, maintained, organized, and stocked with parts

Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered

Reads and interprets blueprints including tolerances and quantities

Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

Available to work overtime during busy seasons

Proficient in reading a tape measure, required

Some welding experience, preferred

Experience with, or willingness to learn, the following machinery/tools. Not limited to:

o Shear

o Brake press

o Iron workers

o Drill press

o Roller

o Band saw

o Chop saw

o Bench grinder

o Belt sander

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to comply with company safety guidelines

Can shift between being a team-player and working independently

Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms

Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding and fabricating assignments

Show initiative, possess personal accountability and be reliable

Ability to provide own tools (tool list provided upon employment)

Education and Experience:

High school diploma

Valid driver's license

Valid CDL, preferred (employer assistance available for obtaining license)

Physical Requirements:

Lift at least 50 pounds

Climb and maintain balance while working on a ladder

Ability to work in all weather conditions

Ability to work in open heights

Perform overhead work

Perform work while frequently bending, squatting, kneeling

Starting Salary: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience.
