Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance and inspections on mining equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly.
Execute preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan. On-Site Support:Provide on-site technical support to mining operations, addressing equipment breakdowns and minimizing production interruptions.
Collaborate with other technicians and field service teams to efficiently resolve complex issues.
Conduct equipment performance assessments and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency. Emergency Response:Respond promptly to emergency service calls and provide timely solutions to critical equipment failures.
Prioritize safety protocols during emergency repairs to ensure a secure working environment. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of service activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance.
Generate comprehensive service reports for internal and client documentation. Customer Interaction:Interface directly with clients to understand their concerns, provide technical assistance, and ensure overall satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with mine operators and site personnel to coordinate service schedules and address operational requirements. Training and Support:Provide training and support to site operators on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and safety procedures.
Stay informed about industry advancements and incorporate new knowledge into service methodologies. Qualifications: Technical Expertise: Relevant technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or mining equipment. Proven hands-on experience with the maintenance and repair of mining equipment. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities to identify and rectify equipment issues efficiently. Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions. Safety Focus: In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to adhering to all safety regulations. Prior experience working in mining environments with a focus on safety-conscious practices. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Ability to convey technical information in a clear and understandable manner. Adaptability: Flexibility to work in diverse environments and adapt to changing work schedules. Willingness to travel to remote mining sites for on-site support as needed. Customer Service Orientation: Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and building strong client relationships.
