Position Summary

Palco Industrial Marking and Labeling, Inc. is seeking a skilled and customer-focused

Field Service Technician

to support, service, and maintain a variety of labeling, coding, and packaging equipment. This role is essential in ensuring our customers' operations run efficiently through timely installation, training, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical support. The ideal candidate is hands-on, professional, and enjoys solving problems while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Relationship Management

Provide exceptional service to existing and prospective customers to build and maintain strong, long-lasting professional relationships. Deliver timely, professional communication to customers by phone, email, and in person.

Equipment Installation & Setup

Coordinate with Sales Executives, Service Manager, and customers to prepare equipment for installation at customer sites. Install labeling, coding, barcoding, and related packaging equipment at customer facilities.

Training & Technical Support

Train customer operators and technicians on proper use, care, and troubleshooting of equipment. Provide technical support for equipment and software, including remote assistance via phone and email.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Service, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial equipment including: Industrial inkjet coders Label applicators Barcode printers and scanners Industrial lasers Packaging equipment Software applications Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.

Additional Duties

Complete required service documentation and reports. Maintain tools, parts, and service equipment in a clean and organized manner. Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

Qualifications

Experience with industrial equipment, electronics, mechanical repair, or similar technical field preferred. Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to travel to customer sites (local and/or regional). Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift and move equipment as required. Industrial coding, labeling & packaging experience helpful

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
