Service Technician

Dilmar Oil Company is seeking a

Service Technician

that will be located out of our Columbia, SC location. This position requires dedication, focus and a strong mechanical aptitude. This role provides electrical and mechanical support for the equipment at the Columbia facility and customer facilities across the Southeast as needed. This role will require travel about 40% of the time.

Dilmar Oil Company is a family-owned business operating since 1932 as a petroleum and lubricant distributor. Dilmar distributes various lubricants, oils, greases, and other petroleum products and accessories as well as fluid reclamation services. Dilmar also continues to be one of the largest Lubricant Distributors in the Southeast.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure all safety regulations and procedures are followed. Verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards and manufacturer guidelines and instructions. Review instruction manuals, blueprints or schematics to test, assess/diagnose or repair equipment. Maintain repair log, detailed service reports to document preventative or corrective maintenance. Operation and maintenance equipment support for our customer locations throughout the Southeast. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs or maintenance activities.

Requirements:

Proven experience in Industrial Construction, Facility Maintenance, Service Technician, Equipment Technician, Maintenance Technician or another relevant role. Ability to read and review schematics and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot. Mechanical aptitude-strong mechanical and electrical skills Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Proficient MS Office suite. Travel and overnight required - 40%

Considered a Plus:

Experience in tank cleaning, working with Industrial lube oil systems, and related pumping systems preferred Preferred training/experience with: Confined Space, First Aid, TWIC, OSHA 30, and Safety training
