The Field Representative will be responsible for managing a portfolio of schools that offer meal services through federal child nutrition programs. This role will act as the primary intermediary between the School Food Service Program Office and the school's principal and food service manager. The Field Representative will be accountable for supervising and monitoring the food service program's operations at each school to ensure that they align with regulations and guidelines. They will provide training to the school's staff on managing the program and generating accurate reports. Ultimately, the Field Representative will play a vital role in upholding program compliance standards while ensuring that all participating schools serve nutritious meals to eligible students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manage a caseload of schools that provide meal service using the federal child nutrition programs: The Field Representative will be responsible for overseeing and managing a group of schools that participate in the federal child nutrition programs.
Serve as primary liaison between the School Food Service Program Office and the School principal and food service manager: The Field Representative will be the main point of contact between the School Food Service Program Office and the school site, serving as a bridge of communication between these two entities. This will involve maintaining strong relationships with school principals and food service managers to ensure that the program is running effectively.
Maintain application file for each school, complete application reviews, and file applications in a school file. Direct Certification matching: The Field Representative will be responsible for maintaining an organized and accurate application file for each school. This will involve reviewing and verifying the applications to ensure that they are complete and accurate. Additionally, the Field Representative will be responsible for Direct Certification matching to ensure that eligible students are enrolled in the program.
Enter applications into Paradox database system and generate Notification Letters for schools and parents: The Field Representative will be responsible for entering application data into the Paradox database system to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of program participation. The Field Representative will also be responsible for generating notification letters to schools and parents to inform them of their eligibility status and next steps for program participation.
Maintain student database for each school. Enter new student information including birthdate. Edit and Drop students as reported by the school: The Field Representative will be responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date student database for each school. This will involve entering new student information, editing existing student information as necessary, and dropping students from the program as reported by the school.
Train School Food Service Managers at assigned schools on program requirements for meal count and claiming procedures: The Field Representative will be responsible for providing training to School Food Service Managers on program requirements for meal count and claiming procedures. This will involve staying up to date on program regulations and providing clear and concise instruction to ensure that the program is being run correctly.
Train School Food Service Managers at assigned schools on use of computer software for entry and generation of reports: The Field Representative will also be responsible for training School Food Service Managers on the use of computer software for entry and generation of reports. This will involve providing hands-on instruction and support to ensure that the managers are comfortable using the software to accurately track program participation.
Visit each school monthly to collect school participation reports. Check report for completeness. Compare daily meals served against meals delivered. Explain discrepancies or differences. Sign reports and give to Program Operations Mgr.: The Field Representative will be responsible for visiting each school in their caseload on a monthly basis to collect school participation reports. This will involve checking the reports for completeness and accuracy, comparing daily meals served against meals delivered, and explaining any discrepancies or differences that are found. The Field Representative will then sign the reports and give them to the Program Operations Manager for review.
Conduct Site Visits to monitor program activities and make sure program regulations are followed. This will involve attending training sessions, conferences, and workshops to ensure that the Field Representative is providing the best possible support to the schools

Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience likely to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, typically:
Active member of a Roman Catholic faith community.
High School Diploma
Driver's License, car, auto insurance
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
Knowledge of:Archdiocesan and Church policies, procedures, and organization.
Basic accounting principles
Basic computer knowledge
Basic knowledge of Ten Key machine
Skill in:Bilingual preferred
Exceptional time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information
Ability to:Coordinate and delegate various activities with
