About the Role



Independent Restoration Services is a growing mitigation company in Charlotte, NC. We are hiring an

Field Project Manager

to act as support to our management team and bring structure, accountability, and consistency to our field operations.

This is a

hands-on leadership role

. While this is a management position, it is an expectation that this individual will get in the field, get their hands dirty when needed, and teach by example to ensure jobs are completed correctly and on schedule.

This is not a desk job, and it is not a "watch from the sidelines" role.

Who This Role Is For



This position is for someone who:

Has

prior construction or contracting experience

Is comfortable working in the field and stepping into active job sites Can physically assist crews when timelines or quality are at risk Understands that leadership includes

coaching, correcting, and occasionally working alongside the team

Can balance hands-on support with enforcement of standards Can communicate effectively with homeowners Hungry to be apart of a growing small business.
Restoration experience is

not required

. We prefer to train the right construction-minded leader in our systems and expectations.

Who This Role Is NOT For



This role is

not

a fit if you:

Expect to manage strictly from a desk or vehicle Avoid physically assisting crews when needed Want to be "one of the guys" instead of a leader Avoid confrontation or accountability You need a "9-5" with strict ours and schedule

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Field Leadership



Be present on job sites daily Step in physically to assist crews when: Jobs fall behind schedule Quality standards are not being met Additional leadership or instruction is required Demonstrate proper work methods and expectations through example Teach crews how jobs should look when completed correctly

Quality Control & Inspections



Inspect work in progress and completed work Verify proper demolition, cleanliness, and drying readiness Identify deficiencies and require immediate correction Ensure jobs meet company standards before close-out Demo Logs and Customer updates

Schedule & Performance Enforcement



Hold teams to timelines and production expectations Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks Address slow performance or poor execution directly Escalate repeat issues to management for corrective action Schedule vendors as needed

Leadership & Accountability



Maintain professional boundaries with staff Enforce policies consistently--even when uncomfortable Support disciplinary action when standards are not met Represent management on job sites at all times

Operations Support



Serve as the eyes and ears to management Assist with daily planning and job prioritization Ensure field compliance with company processes Help stabilize and scale operations

Required Qualifications



Construction or contracting experience (hands-on background required) Ability and willingness to physically assist on job sites Experience supervising crews or enforcing schedules Strong communication and leadership presence Comfort making decisions in the field Computer skills & working smart phone to run needed apps & software

Compensation & Structure



Salary position

Competitive base pay based on experience Performance-based bonuses tied to: Job completion and Labor & material usage Quality and compliance Reduction in rework and callbacks Clear path into senior leadership

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
