Field Plant Maintenance Laborer

Location: Morgantown, WV area

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Field Plant Maintenance Laborer to join our maintenance and repair team serving surface and underground limestone operations, as well as asphalt plant operations in the Morgantown, WV area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and being part of a close-knit team that keeps critical production equipment running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assist with maintenance and repair of crushing, conveying, and asphalt plant equipment

Perform basic layout and measurement of materials for fabrication and installation

Cut, grind, and prepare steel and other materials using torches and grinders

Support fabrication and installation of plant components (welding experience a plus)

Work safely in various environments including elevated, enclosed, dusty, hot, cold, and underground areas

Help troubleshoot and assist in emergency breakdowns and scheduled shutdowns

Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all company safety policies

Requirements

Must be able to work cooperatively with others in a team setting

Must be willing to work in outdoor, underground, and industrial environments with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust

Ability to measure, mark, and lay out materials accurately

Experience using cutting torches and grinders required; welding experience a plus

Must be able to lift and carry more than 50 lbs

Must be willing to work overtime, including during planned outages and emergency repairs

Standard schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with Fridays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Prior maintenance or fabrication experience preferred but not required

MSHA Part 48 Surface and Underground certification a plus (training can be provided after hire)

CDL and/or welding certifications a plus
