Field Agronomy Intern

This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to work directly in the field, supporting agronomists and farm teams to optimize crop production, implement sustainable practices, and develop essential skills for a future in agriculture. Responsibilities:

Familiarize themselves with the stages of potato plant growth, potato insects, diseases, and weeds. Participate in monitoring seed cutting and seed placement during planting. Assist with crop scouting and monitoring plant health across various fields, identifying pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. Collect data and generate reports from information gathered. Support the implementation of irrigation systems, ensuring proper water management to promote healthy crop growth. Help with planting, harvesting, and other field activities to support daily farm operations. Collaborate with team members on data collection and reporting to track crop progress and environmental conditions. Follow all safety protocols.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license Enrolled and pursuing an agricultural related degree. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions; physical ability for heavy lifting up to 20 pounds consistently throughout the day, and long hours on your feet. Ability to receive a private pesticide applicator's license, desired, NOT required. Experience working with potatoes is NOT required.
This is a paid internship from March-October 2026. (exact start and end dates can be flexible)
