Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fiberglass Insulation Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing high-quality fiberglass insulation in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will help improve energy efficiency, comfort, and soundproofing for our clients. Duties

Measure and cut fiberglass insulation materials accurately according to blueprints and project specifications Install insulation in walls, ceilings, attics, basements, and other designated areas using hand tools and power tools Ensure proper placement and secure fastening of insulation to meet safety standards and building codes Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine insulation requirements Use construction estimating skills to determine material quantities needed for each project Collaborate with carpenters, masons, roofers, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate installation processes Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and other finishing techniques to ensure a professional appearance of completed work Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure compliance with specifications Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents on-site and promote a safe working environment

Requirements

Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on insulation installation preferred Proficiency with hand tools such as knives, tape measures, screwdrivers, and pliers; familiarity with power tools including drills and saws Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively Knowledge of construction estimating methods for material planning and project budgeting Basic mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or metal stud framing is a plus Experience with fabrication techniques relevant to insulation or drywall finishing is advantageous Strong understanding of construction safety practices and protocols Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required by various projects Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insulation installation, with the ability to work effectively on various construction sites. This role involves applying insulation materials to walls, roofs, and other structures to improve energy efficiency and comfort. The Insulator will collaborate with other tradespeople and ensure that all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. City Wide Insulation uses Batt, blown in and spray foam as well.

Responsibilities

Install insulation materials in residential and commercial buildings, including walls, attics, and roofs. Fabricate insulation components as needed for specific projects. Collaborate with carpenters, drywall installers, and HVAC technicians to ensure proper installation and integration of insulation systems. Perform site assessments to determine insulation needs based on building specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines. Conduct inspections of installed insulation to ensure compliance with building codes and standards. Assist in the preparation of job sites, including moving materials and setting up equipment.

Skills

Proficiency in frame carpentry techniques for effective installation of insulation materials. Experience with drywall installation and finishing processes. Knowledge of roofing systems and the ability to insulate roof structures effectively. Ability to fabricate custom insulation solutions based on project requirements. Familiarity with construction painting techniques as they relate to finishing insulated areas. Understanding of plaster application methods for seamless integration with insulation work. Experience working on construction sites, adhering to safety regulations and practices. Knowledge of stucco application methods as they pertain to insulated exteriors.
