Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and computer networking, with hands-on experience in fiber installation. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in the field and possesses mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

Duties

Conduct field service operations, ensuring high-quality installation and repair of telecommunications systems. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment such as an drop plow for installing drop lines. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports and inventory management. Must be very independent as we are looking to fill 3 positions. One crew leader and 2 laborers. We will train anyone that is motivated. This is travel work, wyoming, idaho, colorado, montana, nebraska. The right candidate will be comfortable driving in all states in short notice. We provide a vehicle from our 2 spots, one in wyoming and one in colorado. Must be able to make it to one of our yards.

Experience

Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and field service roles within the telecommunications industry. Not a must to have experience if you are hungry to learn. . Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools effectively. Previous experience as a service technician is highly desirable. Understanding of telecommunication systems, cabling techniques, and low voltage electrical work is a plus. Ability to work independently in diverse environments while maintaining a professional demeanor. Join us as we expand our capabilities in the telecommunications sector!
