This position requires proven, verifiable experience as a Fiber Splicer. Only candidates with documented, hands-on splicing experience should apply.

Responsibilities:

Splice fiber optic cables per industry standard. Construct a proper splice case, including but not limited to grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage and sealing. Perform routine maintenance, recognize and repair route issues including clean-up of area. Support project timelines, inspections, and provide splice documentation/ field notes as needed. Communicate with Fiber Design Team about any issues due to field environment/ discrepancies. Ability to update documentation into Fiber software. Maintain safe work habits and adhere to safety policies and procedures. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. CDL preferred. Ability to be part of the on-call rotation for emergencies. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

At least one year experience in fiber splicing.

High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electric engineering preferred. Strong computer skills with knowledge of CAD, GIS, or other systems used to design fiber networks. Ability to read and understand fiber design/system prints and maps. Experience working safely with a boom/ bucket truck, ladder, fiber trailer, various hand tools and power tools, and various test equipment. Must be able to safely operate vehicles and trailers. CDL preferred.

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.

Schedule/Benefits:

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. schedule (3 day weekend!). Pay starting at $30 per hour based on experience, paid bi-weekly. Benefits available after successfully completing 90 days of employment. No travel/home every night. Year round work.
Must be able to pass a physical, drug screen, background check, and have a good driving record. We are a dog friendly office!
