Job Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport feed products to designated locations. Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery timelines to ensure timely service. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload feed products using appropriate equipment and techniques. Verify delivery quantities and check for product quality before departure and upon arrival. Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes. Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service during deliveries. Follow company policies and procedures for safe handling and delivery of feed. Report any vehicle maintenance needs or delivery issues to management promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles and associated equipment. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and stocking. Other duties as assigned.


Requirements




Job Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience Ability to operate and maintain delivery trucks safely Strong knowledge of local and regional roadways and traffic laws Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting up to 50 lbs Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong customer service and communication skills Proficient in basic math for inventory and delivery documentation Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed Familiarity with using GPS and route planning software Ability to maintain accurate delivery logs and reports * Must pass a background check and drug screening
