Job Summary

The Feed Mill Operator is responsible for grinding, loading, and unloading of material.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Responsible to log and grind materials to correct bins and silos. Load all outgoing meal loads into clean, dry trailer ensuring correct trailer weights. Collect samples, label, and deliver to lab. Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment and keeps grinding room and load out area clean and sanitary. Operates various company vehicles around the facility. Completes paperwork with regard to logging of materials and loads. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age. Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

High School diploma preferred. Good communication skills both oral and written; must be able to follow both written and oral directions. Team player; works well with others. Detail oriented; well organized; ability to multi-task. Good math skills; must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.

Physical Demands

Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch. Frequently required to lift up to 10 lbs. Occasionally required to push, pull, move, or lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out inside plant production area, control room, and railcar/hopper trailer loadout
