Job Overview


We are seeking a

Business Contact (BC)

to serve as the primary operational liaison between FedEx Ground and our company. This role focuses on driver management, safety, service performance, and operational compliance, with ultimate accountability for daily delivery execution. A primary responsibility of this position is ensuring that all routes are completed and all packages are delivered each day, regardless of staffing levels or operational challenges. The individual in this role must be fully capable of stepping in to run

any route, on any day

, and providing hands-on field support as needed to maintain service commitments.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience, is comfortable holding teams accountable, and excels in fast-paced, people-driven environments. They lead by example, adapt quickly to changing conditions, and are prepared to take a direct, hands-on role to ensure operational success.

Previous experience in

retail, restaurant, or manufacturing management

is highly valued, as this role requires many of the same skills: coaching, performance management, safety oversight, and operational execution.

Responsibilities



Monitor and manage

driver performance

, including attendance, service quality, and scan compliance Conduct

ride-alongs, observations, and audits

to ensure safety and policy adherence Address

service failures, safety incidents, and operational issues

Communicate expectations clearly and enforce

FedEx standards

Collaborate with terminal operations, safety, and management teams Document performance issues and escalate concerns as necessary Support continuous improvement in

safety, efficiency, and service

Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety meetings Manage documentation related to driver logs, delivery records, and incident reports Schedule shifts and manage driver assignments based on route demands and driver availability Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations related to commercial driving and transportation safety

Requirements



Previous management or supervisory experience

(people leadership is essential) Management experience in large retail operations, restaurants or hospitality, manufacturing or warehouse environments Experience managing

10+ employees

Familiarity with safety programs or compliance-driven operations Proven ability to

coach, discipline, and motivate employees

Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills Ability to work in a

fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Comfort enforcing policies and holding others accountable Basic computer skills (email, reporting systems, data tracking) Excellent communication skills for effective team leadership and customer interaction Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to pass background checks and drug test including marijuana and meet all regulatory requirements for commercial vehicle operation

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
