The Construction Project Manager - Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards and quality expectations. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage project teams, subcontractors, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of construction projects, including budgeting, procurement, staffing, and execution.
Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Develop and maintain project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Lead on-site meetings and provide regular project status reports to stakeholders.
Supervise project team members and subcontractors, ensuring high performance and accountability.
Conduct final inspections and ensure successful project close-out, including punch list completion and client handover.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of construction project management experience (commercial, residential, or industrial).
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety standards.
Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills, with ability to build effective client and team relationships.
Work Environment:
Combination of office and on-site work.
Must be able to travel to project sites as required.
Fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects.
