Managing all team members by coaching and developing individuals on matters regarding job requirements, SOPs, biosecurity, animal welfare, health, and safety,
Completing all administrative duties, ie: semen reports, performance reviews,
Analyzing boar production results and making decisions to adjust the team\'s daily activities to maximize production results,
Developing troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with other team members,
Ensuring proper health, handling, and comfort of all animals is being followed by all staff,
Ensuring ventilation, feed, and water systems are working properly,
Keeping accurate records on all animals as requested, i.e.: pig identification,
Ensuring sample submission to external parties for quality control and diagnostics,
Ensuring team members are working safely and performing all job duties,
Ensure the stud\'s biosecurity protocol is followed by all staff and visitors,
Performing other general farm duties as required.
The successful candidate would ideally possess the following qualifications and experiences:
Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills with great attention to detail,
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
Self-motivated and reliable,
Experience in a leadership role would be an asset,
Understanding of PRISM software is preferred but not required,
Demonstrates a strong technical sense and understanding of swine production,
Able to manage priorities and solve problems,
