Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Nature of Work:




The primary resource navigator responsible for both the administrative oversight and the direct resource navigation component. Success in this role requires a strong background in behavioral health (substance use/suicide prevention), grant management, program evaluation and an ability to maintain strict confidentiality while demonstrating deep empathy and compassion.


Work closely with leadership to establish all program criteria, funding disbursements and implementation timelines. Manage the application process, including procedures for receiving, checking eligibility and accuracy, communicating with applicants about status, and a secure, confidential method for retaining applications and applicant information. Partner with community organizations and agencies to develop a comprehensive list of resources to share with families. Engage with beneficiary families to discuss their needs and offer crucial links to services, resources and support as they navigate recovery and grief. Work with Communications to develop an accessible, equitable promotion strategy to raise awareness of the program among stakeholders and eligible families, including establishing referral partnerships with funeral homes, faith-based leaders, hospitals and other relevant sources. Track, update and maintain project requirements, documentation, issues and funding. Support all other project deliverables. Complete programmatic reports by developing content, analyzing data and synthesizing project activities. Based on program evaluation, recommend improvements or refinements to meet the needs of families served.



Minimum Qualifications



Education:




Master's degree in behavioral health or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:




At least two years of working in behavioral health, including suicide prevention, substance use, mental health or related programs. Knowledge of the impact of opioid overdose and community resources. Experience in program development and evaluation, developing partnerships with community organizations, working with confidential and sensitive subject matters, and system navigation with and/or on behalf of individuals.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Independence and self-motivation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others, such as policymakers, community leaders and other professionals. Knowledge of various grief models and how cultural differences impact the grief response. Demonstrating empathy and compassion to build a safe, trusting and supportive relationship. Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches. Ability to maintain clear ethical boundaries and professionalism. Public speaking and the ability to communicate with stakeholders, both individually and in groups.
