Job Title: Part-Time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Medical Director / Practice Manager

Schedule:

Full-Time (hours flexible based on clinic needs)

Position Summary



The Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner provides high-quality primary care services to patients across the lifespan in an outpatient or community setting. This role includes health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education. The FNP collaborates with physicians and the care team to ensure compassionate, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities



Provide comprehensive primary care services to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Perform patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and conduct physical examinations. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions. Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other studies. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations. Develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options. Perform routine procedures such as wound care, suturing, immunizations, and screenings as permitted by scope. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with clinical guidelines. Uphold clinic policies, professional standards, and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications



Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited program. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Active state APRN license and prescriptive authority (DEA license preferred or required). Minimum 1-2 years of experience in primary care or family practice (new grads considered depending on setting). BLS/ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible part-time schedule.

Preferred Skills



Experience with EHR systems. Familiarity with community health, rural health, or urgent care environments.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements



Outpatient clinic, community health center, or private practice setting. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs (equipment/supplies).
