The

Family Education and Supports Coordinator

is a "Parent Coach" role. This position is responsible for the program oversight, lead facilitation of parenting classes, socializations and individual parent coaching, and service coordination at McAuley Residence. This position will be responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and data collection of Individualized Family Plans, all Family Education and Support Services and activities and integration within the McAuley Residence.


This role is part of the Parenting Education program and work is performed, reviewed, and evaluated under the supervision of the Director of Parenting Education.

Schedule

: Full-time, 40 hours per week

: Portland, ME - McAuley House, Winter Street



Qualifications



A bachelor's degree in education, social work or another related field (Psychology) required. 3 years' experience with complex family systems and dynamics, such as: family law or policy, child protective systems, domestic violence, foster, adoptive, or guardianship processes required. Demonstrated experience with development and measurement of behavioral goals in a social service context. Experience developing and leading social service program(s) preferred. Broad knowledge of Cumberland and York County's family and community resources. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and conflict management skills required. Ability to work independently; also have the ability to create a team environment and to facilitate team decision-making. Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and especially Excel is required. Demonstrated experience with data collection and interpretation. Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check. Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list. Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds. Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients

or

driving to agency location to complete work. A good driving record is required.*
