Job Description

This is the supervisory level in the family crisis therapy series responsible for overseeing and monitoring program operations for intervention services.

Selective Requirement

Possession of a Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) OR a Professional Counselor of Mental Health License (LPCMH) or license eligible within one year in the behavioral health field.

Essential Functions

Intervenes in family crisis situations. Provides on-going clinical assessment and treatment. Develops and implements treatment plans. Assesses progress and recommends appropriate strategies for continual functional improvement within the family. Conducts individual and family therapy sessions. Prepares clinical reports and documentation of progress towards goals of families and clients. Provides on-going consultation with professional staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Family Crisis Therapist Supervisor

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:



Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Science or related field. Two years' experience in crisis intervention. Three years' experience in case management such as assessing, planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating options and services to meet an individual's human needs. Coursework, training and/or work experience in staff supervision, which may include performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others.
