Opportunity to lead our world-class operations
We're seeking a resilient and people-focused Site Operations Manager to lead operations at one of our most complex and high-performing customer sites in Fairfield NSW. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a challenging environment, understands the fast-paced nature of transport operations and can influence outcomes across a large, unionised workforce.
You'll be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance and financial performance while maintaining strong relationships with both the customer and your team.
In this job you will:

• Lead and engage a team of 18 drivers and a site supervisor on a 24/7 Dangerous Goods operation.
• Manage customer expectations on-site and maintain a strong partnership with a high-profile global client.
• Ensure delivery performance meets strict KPIs within essential services and healthcare logistics.
• Drive cost control, forecasting and P&L performance to improve site profitability.
• Maintain a safe and compliant operation in line with WorkSafe and DG regulations.
• Support workforce planning, driver retention and scheduling in collaboration with internal teams.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
You have the following qualities & qualifications:

• Proven background in transport or 3PL operations
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Site Operations manager or a strong Supervisor ready to step up.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, manage tough conversations and influence outcomes.
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L and cost management experience.
• Understanding of Dangerous Goods handling and safety compliance.
• Proficient in Excel, Teams and general reporting systems (Chronos experience preferred).
