The College Faculty Support Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to faculty within one or more assigned departments in a specific college or school. Reporting to the Associate Dean or Director of the college/school, this role ensures efficient coordination of faculty-related projects, academic support services, and departmental operations. While each Coordinator is embedded within a specific academic unit, they work collaboratively with other Coordinators across the college or school to support faculty holistically and promote consistency in service delivery.




Note: There are two vacancies open for this role.





Faculty Support Coordinators serve as key resources for faculty, requiring broad knowledge of university policies, procedures, and academic operations. They play a vital role in enhancing faculty productivity, supporting academic programming, and contributing to the overall success of the college or school.



Nature and Scope:


This position is integrated into the academic operations of the college or school and requires regular communication with department chairs, faculty, and academic leadership. The Coordinator supports specific departments while contributing to collaborative efforts across the college or school to enhance faculty services and operational efficiency.

Principal Accountabilities
Provide administrative support to faculty in assigned departments within the college or school. Coordinate faculty-related projects and academic support services. Serve as a liaison between faculty and administrative offices. Collaborate with other Academic Support Coordinators to share best practices and ensure consistency in service delivery. Assist with cross-departmental initiatives and strategic alignment of faculty support services. Maintain knowledge of university policies and procedures relevant to faculty operations. Communicate regularly with department chairs and faculty to support academic operations. Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
This position requires an individual with strong administrative and office management skills, experience processing invoices and purchase orders, and at least 3-5 years of experience (preferably in a higher education environment). The ideal candidate should have demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Outlook is required, Banner experience highly desirable. Demonstrated experience planning, organizing, marketing and managing special events is preferred. Attentiveness to detail and the ability to independently prioritize and follow through, schedule and complete multiple projects with varied schedules required.
