Dakota State University is seeking applications for a full-time facility worker. Primary responsibilities include custodial care and minor maintenance of multiple buildings on campus as well as set-up/clean-up of events at Dakota Prairie Playhouse and the Beacom Premier Complex.


The position will be scheduled Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour workday and a flexible start time of either 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. Flexibility for evening and weekend hours is a must.

Responsibilities:

Floor care mainly vacuuming and mopping but could include scrubbing, waxing, and shampooing carpets. Clean and sanitize restrooms. Collect and remove trash from building. Dust and wash walls, woodwork, and windows. Remove snow from steps and sidewalks near buildings. Painting and moving furniture. Set-up and clean-up of campus events.

Successful candidate must be able to:

Follow written and oral instructions. Operate required equipment. Work with students, staff, and the public courteously. Work independently. Lift 50 pounds. Maintain a valid driver's license. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Sponsorship is not available for this position.)
