Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facility Technician to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. Duties

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and mechanical components to minimize downtime. Conduct welding, residential painting, and other facilities maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality. Operate testing tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults or mechanical issues. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Supervise or assist with projects involving electrical wiring, schematics interpretation, or mechanical repairs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize repairs, and improve facility operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics interpretation, PLC programming basics, and troubleshooting techniques. Skilled in welding, residential painting, and general repair work. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for coordinating team efforts. Electrical experience combined with hands-on mechanical knowledge is highly desirable. Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
