Role Overview
The
Facility Solutions Manager (FSM)
leads
commissioning, system validation, and operational readiness
for large commercial projects. This role ensures all
building systems
--HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and fire/life safety--are
tested, optimized, and fully integrated
to meet client and project requirements.
Acting as the
primary client liaison
, the FSM coordinates with
contractors, trade partners, and facility owners
to deliver efficient, safe, and high-quality outcomes.

Core Responsibilities
Lead commissioning management across multiple projects, ensuring operational readiness and full compliance.
Review design drawings, submittals, shop drawings, and specifications for constructability and operability.
Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and execution strategies aligned to project milestones.
Direct inspections, testing, and certification of MEPF systems; coordinate Level 4/5 testing.
Manage issue tracking and documentation using commissioning software and visual reporting tools.
Lead commissioning meetings with construction teams, trade partners, and owners to drive resolution and progress.
Provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff, fostering technical excellence and client satisfaction.
Required Background
Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction with strong focus on commissioning, building systems, and controls.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
Proven project management skills: scheduling (P6 or MS Project), budgeting, and team leadership.
Proficiency in commissioning software platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to owners and stakeholders.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
Experience in hospitals, airports, data centers, or other critical facilities preferred.
Commissioning certifications (e.g., CxA, BCxA, NEBB, AABC) strongly preferred.
