Job Title: Facility & Hospitality Supervisor
Supervisor: Director of Operations

Position Overview:
The Facility & Hospitality Supervisor assists in providing services to the clients of Ministry on the Margins through its programs and facility specifically through oversight of the facility and daytime hospitality activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance & Cleaning
Oversee all operations relating to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire prevention systems of Ministry on the Margins
Develop preventive / corrective maintenance schedule and assign work and inspect to see that it is accomplished in a timely and quality fashion
Keep abreast of all work and projects being done and maintain records of projects, when needed
Obtain competitive bids for work to be performed by contractors, oversee, and serve as point of contact for outside contractors, when applicable
Establish and maintain facility cleaning schedule, including ministry laundry, and ensure executed to support ministry standards
Ensure that facility, including all plant and maintenance areas, are kept neat, safe, and clean
Coordinate outside inspections including city, county, and insurance reviews to include Fire & Personnel Safety
Maintain first aid station(s) to ensure they are stocked and tested, as appropriate
Coordinate and supervise all activities related to the upkeep of grounds in all seasons of the year (includes but is not limited to exterior garbage, cigarette bins, snow removal, landscaping, etc.)
Food Pantry
Coordinate food truck deliveries, including recruitment of volunteers
Maintain records of food truck deliveries in accordance with retention requirements
Ensure the food pantry is organized and clean in collaboration with the Program Support Specialist
Set up and tear down for each food pantry
Ensure facility team coverage as a resource for volunteers and ministry staff during each food pantry
Ensure compliance with food safety, pest control, and other relevant standards
Vehicle Maintenance
Ensure all ministry vehicles are maintained timely and appropriately
Complete basic vehicle repairs and maintenance and ensure kept clean
Keep updated list of ministry vehicles with work documented on each vehicle
Supervisory
Hire, orientate, train, and supervise daytime hospitality employees
Schedule, assign, and oversee work of daytime hospitality staff
Review and approve time sheets of daytime hospitality employees for accuracy
Order and sign off on all purchases made by daytime hospitality employees
Support budget development to promote quality but also to maintain Benedictine values.
Establish weekend and holiday coverage schedule and take turn in coverage
Hospitality
Oversee setup and teardown for all ministry programming (e.g. Open Hours, Ice Cream Social, haircuts)
Ensure facility team coverage to retrieve, sort, and distribute mail
Provide backup phone coverage
Greet visitors, including volunteers, and give them assistance or information, as appropriate
Serve as ministry shopper and courier, as needed
Provide coverage in ministry activities, when needed (e.g. food pantry, ice cream social, haircuts, etc.)
General
Represent MOTM within the community, as determined with ministry leadership
Participate in MOTM Team meetings
Comply with policies outlined in the Employee Handbook and the ministry's policy manual.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills Required:
High school diploma, or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus)
Position requires a valid Driver's License
Training or experience in maintenance, such as training in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
Previous supervision of maintenance staff or maintenance work outside a household setting desired
Ability to read and understand mechanical system manuals and other operating manuals
Ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines, with strong judgment / decision-making abilities
Ability to work under a flexible and variable schedule including some evenings and weekends
Ability to work well with others and work independently with minimal supervision
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other computer programs and tools desired
Interpersonal skills: Possess excellent communication skills. Interacts courteously with co-workers, volunteers, and all guests. Provides for an atmosphere of teamwork.
