This is a project position expected to end in December 2028. The Facility Professional Services (FPS) Division provides professional public works project management, energy efficiency and facility planning services to effectively meet the needs of its customers in support of their service to Washington.
About the Opportunity:
As a Facilities Planner 2 on the Legislative Campus Modernization (LCM) project team within the Department of Enterprise Services (DES), you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of the $250 million+ project, which involves the replacement, renovation, and remodel of the Newhouse, Pritchard, and O'Brien buildings on the Historic Capital Campus. You will support the LCM Project Director and team by focusing on the detailed coordination, planning, oversight, procurement, and tracking of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FFE), Owner Furnished, Owner/Contractor Installed (OFOI/OFCI) items, and AV/IT/Security Services. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and directing the planning and scheduling for all work phases, reviewing architectural and engineering designs prepared by private firms, and collaborating with project managers to develop cost and risk control measures. Additionally, you'll provide project management and technical guidance in your assigned areas of expertise for this project that is anticipated to conclude in December 2028.
