POSITION SUMMARY




We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our facility, equipment, and utilities. This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to ensuring all building systems and shop equipment operate safely and efficiently.


The ideal candidate will be capable of troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and structural issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting production teams with equipment moves, setups, and facility improvements.


Troubleshooting and repair: Oversee and occasionally perform hands-on diagnosis and resolution of complex mechanical and electrical issues for both CNC and conventional machining lathes and mills, hydraulic mandrel extraction and press equipment, filament winding machines, creel tensioners, electrical autoclave, electrical/gas processing ovens, walk-in freezers, paint spray booth, and emergency generators ensuring quick and effective solutions to minimize operational disruptions.




Perform hands-on maintenance and repair of facility systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, compressed air, and vacuum systems. Build, install, and modify workstations, machinery foundations, and production cells as needed. Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine root causes and perform mechanical or electrical repairs. Support equipment installations by coordinating utilities, mounting, anchoring, and alignment. Inspect, maintain, and repair facility structures such as doors, docks, windows, gates, and locks. Maintain and repair tools and shop support systems to ensure safe and reliable operation. Create and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for key systems and shop assets. Manage and organize spare parts, tools, and consumables for maintenance and repair tasks. Perform painting, flooring repair, light carpentry, and general facility upkeep. Assist with layout changes, equipment relocations, and new facility setups. Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with OSHA and company policies. Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work environment at all times. Support facility inspections, contractor coordination, and small capital improvement projects. Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment or safety concerns to leadership promptly.



POSITION QUALIFICATIONS



Education & Experience:



5+ years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Security Clearance:

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance required for assigned programs.



Technical & Functional Skills:



Proficient with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery. Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals. Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems. Familiar with maintenance tracking software systems (Example: UPKEEP, etc.), safety inspections, and basic documentation. Knowledge of HVAC, compressed air, and vacuum systems preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:




This position requires an on-site presence. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment and an office environment but may be noisy at times. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
