Position Overview
Legacy Staffing is seeking a dependable and hardworking Facilities Maintenance Worker on behalf of our client in Bakersfield, CA. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment across the facility. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to general repairs, upkeep, and basic maintenance tasks, and will respond promptly to service requests from staff and management.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including light painting, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Address basic plumbing issues such as fixing sinks, faucets, and toilets
• Conduct small carpentry and patching work as needed
• Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting (e.g., replacing bulbs, switches, outlets)
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, and workspaces
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor facility systems and equipment for issues and resolve as needed
• Follow safety protocols and report potential hazards
• Support general upkeep duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proven reliability and strong work ethic
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred
