United Digestive's (UD) Facilities Assistant supports the Facilities Manager with administration of general maintenance, safety compliance, facility vendors, for all UD locations. Participates in the execution of facility projects for current and newly acquired practice initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to:In partnership with the Facilities Manager, complete building maintenance requests received through the UD Service Desk for clinical offices and ambulatory surgery center locations
Process requests for furniture repair and replacements in partnership with the Facilities Manager
Provide assistance to interdepartmental teams to ensure assigned project is completed on time, within budget, to specifications, with accuracy and efficiency
Maintain tracking documentation of building life safety code compliance for federal, state, and local authorities, and governing bodies
Assist in updating reports on preventative maintenance and the life cycle of equipment
Participate in providing support, documentation, and tracking for all construction buildouts and location moves
Review work completed by contractors and verify the associated invoice for accuracy
Partner with Facilities Manager to support and oversee service contracts within Contract Works
Maintain and update the annual Capex report for future needs
Assists with communication between property owners and management
Provides support for after-hours facility tasks as needed
All other duties and projects as assigned by Leadership
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required, 3 to 5 years of related experience within Facility Management preferred. Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Facilities Assistant must be able to:Work a flexible schedule with potential for nights, weekends, and holidays

Provide a high level of customer service at all times
Work under pressure; assess, respond to, and communicate issues promptly
Plan, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks as delegated by Leadership
Communicate in a clear and concise manner with coworkers, physicians, patients and vendors through the telephone, direct messages, e-mail, and in-person
Maintain composure and set a professional example for coworkers/subordinates
Maintain the strictest confidentiality
PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Position requires sitting, walking, and standing associated with normal warehouse environment; lifting and carrying (up to 50lbs) required; operation of warehouse vehicles like forklift, and other machinery used for general maintenance required. Work outside of normal operating hours, such as early mornings, late evenings, and weekends required; travel to all UD locations, including multi-state travel as business needs dictate
