Job Description

Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Associate for our client in Endicott, NY. As a Facilities Maintenance Associate, you will assist with coordinating, performing, and troubleshooting routine facilities maintenance, including, but not limited to construction, renovations, and landscaping. The individual in this role aids with tooling and equipment problem solving support to multiple various departments.
Responsibilities

• Perform facility renovations and construction projects including plumbing/electrical/drywall/remodeling/landscaping/ etc.
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance.
• Work with outside vendors and contractors as required.
• Assist with potential costs, process, workflow, tooling, quality and safety improvements.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Understand and follow company practices, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other work duties as assigned.
• May be required to work flexible hours.

Requirements

• 1-3 years working experience in facility maintenance role.
• Basic to intermediate carpentry/building skills.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and carpentry.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Lifting and transporting items.
• Tolerance of fumes, odors and noise at times.
• May require bending, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling as well as prolonged sitting and/or standing with repetitive motions at times.
• Ability to apply mental processes to understand and follow verbal/written communication and instructions.
• Ability to manage stress and adapt to change and frequent distractions.
• Moderate travel to local vendors when requested.

The estimated hourly salary range for this position is $18.00 -$22/h though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
