Job Overview: Young Adult Director

The Facilities Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the church campus is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. This part-time position focuses on supporting church services, assisting with repairs and maintenance, and providing general support to the Facilities Manager. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting the mission of the church through excellent facility care.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide facilities support during worship services and church events (setup, teardown, troubleshooting building systems, ensuring cleanliness and safety). Perform routine inspections of facilities and grounds; report issues and carry out minor repairs or coordinate with vendors as directed. Assist the Facilities Manager with preventive maintenance, safety checks, and general building operations. Monitor supplies (cleaning, repair materials, event setup items) and restock as needed. Ensure rooms and common areas are properly set up for events, classes, and meetings. Respond to urgent facility needs during services and events in a timely and professional manner. Support seasonal or special projects, such as facility upgrades, deep cleaning, or event preparations. Recruit and Care for Serve Team Members to help in all areas.

General Staff Expectations



Attend annual team retreats and informal team gatherings for relational health. Live out and champion Trace's Cultural Distinctives. Participate in a Small Group and actively tithe to Trace Church.

Qualifications:



Prior experience in facilities, maintenance, or custodial work preferred. Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and ability to perform light repairs. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and weekends as needed for services and events. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of daily responsibilities. Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a service-minded attitude.

Schedule:



Part-time 15-25 hours per week (with evening and weekend availability required).
