Job Overview


The Facilities Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. This position involves a variety of tasks related to facilities maintenance, customer service, and support for various projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and be proactive in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Duties



Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of facilities. Assist with residential painting projects, ensuring high-quality finishes. Operate and maintain equipment related to facilities upkeep, including welding tools. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory. Conduct electrical repairs and maintenance, including troubleshooting logic controllers. Fabricate components as needed for repairs or improvements within the facility. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with team members on larger projects and initiatives to enhance facility operations.

Skills



Strong ability to maintain various aspects of facilities, ensuring they are in optimal condition. Demonstrated leadership skills to guide team efforts and foster a collaborative environment. Proficiency in facilities maintenance practices, including knowledge of electrical systems and welding techniques. Experience with residential painting, showcasing attention to detail and craftsmanship. Familiarity with CMMS software for effective management of maintenance tasks. Understanding of logic controllers for troubleshooting electrical issues. Ability to fabricate parts or tools as required for specific projects or repairs. Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on communication and problem-solving.
