Job Description

Hurley Metal Fabrication is looking to hire a highly skilled Shop Foreman/Production Supervisor, specializing in laser cutting, forming and welding departments. This position requires Sheet Metal Fabrication and Job Shop experience in a fast paced environment. This is a multiple task, deadline based environment, and therefore flexibility is necessary to maintain multiple projects, as well as reevaluate and change priorities quickly and efficiently.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing all production personnel, with the goal of efficient, accurate production in a short lead time.

Duties Include Supervising Production By:

Directing the flow of materials to the proper machine or department, and through to completion. Supervising Welding, Laser cutting, Punching, Water Jet Cutting and Press Brake machines and operators. Studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes and improvements. Enforcing quality standards. Modeling and Enforcing company standards. Evaluating and counseling production personnel. Reporting personnel issues and counseling to Management. Requisitioning needed equipment and tool repairs from Management. Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees. Maintain a clean and safe work place. Enable effective communications between management and employees. Assure all employees receive the appropriate amount of training and coaching. Monitor workers on site during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures. Evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality. Ensure that products and goods manufactured meet quality standards obtainable in the industry. Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards. Audit finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use. Keep records of workers performance. Keep records of equipment, budgets, supplies and make them available to management for evaluation. Any other task or responsibility asked by management.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
