We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly, with experience working on construction sites or in industrial environments. This role involves working with various fabrication techniques, interpreting schematics, and utilizing a range of hand and power tools to produce high-quality components in accordance with industry standards. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex projects requiring precision and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications.
Operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and welding techniques to join metal components.
Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery to cut, shape, and assemble materials such as sheet metal and ductwork.
Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure proper fit and alignment.
Perform pipe threading, rigging, machining, soldering, and assembly tasks as required for project completion.
Maintain compliance with ASME codes & standards during fabrication processes.
Assist with crane operation and forklift handling for material movement when necessary.
Follow safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing facilities to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
Prior experience in construction site environments or industrial fabrication settings is preferred.
Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, and welding techniques.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, ductwork manufacturing, pipe threading, and assembly processes.
Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes and construction applications.
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
Experience operating cranes or forklifts is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented professionals with a passion for precision fabrication and industrial craftsmanship.
