ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a self-motivated Process Engineer to initiate and implement process optimization and reliability initiatives at our manufacturing facility in Zanesville, OH. The position will also assist in identifying and executing Capital Projects for the plant. This position will require the individual to work not only with their Engineering colleagues, but with coworkers from Manufacturing, Maintenance and Quality. Travel is required on an as needed basis for training, visits to other Plaskolite plant locations, and to potentially support requirements at various customer locations.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead troubleshooting efforts on extrusion equipment and processing issues Develop and implement Continuous Improvement Plans to promote process optimization and resolve reoccurring reliability concerns Assist with development and implementation of capital projects to optimize machine capabilities and reliability Assist Maintenance personnel in addressing reliability issues and developing preventative maintenance measures to support equipment reliability Assist manufacturing efforts in all New Product / Process Development trials

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in Mechanical, Chemical or other engineering discipline Previous manufacturing experience a plus Organizational skills and a systematic approach to problem definition and solution development Excellent written and verbal communication skills Leadership abilities to be able to lead projects Strong self-motivation to be able to work independently
