Current pay as of May 1, 2023: $24.78 per hour for Extra Helper (Entry level) position; $26.49 per hour for Michigan when qualified and working in that position; $28.81 per hour for Refiner Operator when qualified and working in that position.


Current shift differential: Per labor agreement terms \xe2\x80\x93 2nd shift is $.55 per hour and 3rd shift is $.65 per hour.


Bonus: $1,000 bonus after 6 months of employment and with less than 2 attendance points.


Some Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift and/or other equipment within department.
• General housekeeping and snow removal.
• Clean screens, trenches, equipment, etc. as needed.
• Record and document as necessary.
• Assist to extinguish small fires if applicable.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all Local, State, Federal, and WestRock laws, regulations, and practices.
• Perform the essential functions of the other positions within the department on a relief and fill-in basis.

Qualifications:

• Pass Bennett Mechanical Aptitude Test with a score of 50% or higher per labor agreement.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work in the United States and have acceptable I-9 documentation.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift certification via internal training.
• Must train and qualify to perform two positions higher than this position.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals, tape measures, etc.
• Must join USW Local 264 per current labor agreement.

Hours of work: Must be willing to work varying shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Must work overtime as needed.
