Kelvin Cooperage, a leader in premium handcrafted barrels, is seeking a skilled

Export Specialist

to support our international operations. In this role, you will manage global shipments, prepare export documentation, ensure compliance, and provide excellent support to our overseas customers. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

Prepare export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin). Ensure USDA/APHIS, customs, and international trade compliance. Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and customs brokers. Track and monitor international shipments; resolve delivery issues. Communicate shipping timelines and updates to international customers. Work with production and warehouse teams to ensure order readiness. Maintain shipment logs, tracking spreadsheets, and weekly export schedules. Support sales, finance, and operations teams with export-related tasks. Answer phones, greet drivers/visitors, and manage basic office administrative duties.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. 1-5 years of experience in export logistics or international shipping. Familiarity with Incoterms, customs rules, and USDA export requirements. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Excel (formulas, pivot tables). Experience with QuickBooks a plus. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally) and work on-site.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
