Job Overview


We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to the dining area. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, supporting both the culinary team and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth operations and high guest satisfaction. Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality is preferred but not required. A strong focus on food safety, excellent communication skills, and a passion for guest service are essential for success in this role.

Duties



Deliver hot and cold food orders from the kitchen to guests' tables promptly and accurately Assist with food preparation and plating as needed to support kitchen staff Ensure all food handling procedures meet safety and sanitation standards Clear used dishes, utensils, and empty trays from tables efficiently Support servers by bussing tables and resetting them for new guests Communicate effectively with kitchen staff using Aloha POS, Micros POS, or other restaurant systems Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas Assist with setup for banquet or special events when required Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs courteously and professionally Support overall restaurant operations by collaborating with team members to ensure guest satisfaction

Qualifications



Previous experience in food service, restaurant serving, or hospitality preferred Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation procedures Experience with banquet service, bussing, or kitchen support is advantageous Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Basic culinary knowledge or hotel experience is beneficial but not mandatory Passion for hospitality, customer service, and creating positive dining experiences
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
