We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties

Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Utilize CPT coding, HCPCS, and ICD-10 for proper coding of diagnoses and procedures. Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and conducting medical collections as necessary. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and address patient inquiries regarding their bills. Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient management of patient information and billing processes. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance.

Experience

Proven experience in medical billing, coding, and collections within a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10. Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems is essential for this role. Previous experience in a medical office environment is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
