Towne and Country Animal Clinic is a well-established veterinary hospital located in Fairborn, OH. We are looking for an Experienced Assistant to join our team providing superior medical and environmental care for the animals staying at our facility. The Veterinary Assistant's role is to support the veterinarian and plays a vital role in achieving greater efficiency in overall patient care within the practice. The Assistant will help with monitoring surgery, diagnostic imagery, laboratory testing, patient nursing care, administering medication, client education and and assist with tech appointments for procedures such as suture removal, nail trims, vaccine administration and lab work when a doctor exam is not required.

Assistants must enjoy working with animals along with people and value the care provided at TCAC. The right person for this role will have both strong clinical and interpersonal skills, promoting a positive work environment for all members of the team. This role is fast-paced and often requires significant communication, multi-tasking, and a creative thinking ability.

Responsibilities and Duties

Regular duties include but are not limited to:

Client communications in rooms and on telephone Checking in appointments Running in house labs Monitoring anesthesia Radiography Preparing and viewing slides

Qualifications and Skills

All staff work a set schedule allowing for you to plan ahead. The schedule for Full time is typically 3 full days, a half day and every other Saturday. Staff may pick up extra hours as available.
