Duties

Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools to compile and analyze data Conduct tax planning and consulting for clients to optimize their financial positions Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance Assist clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and general accounting needs using various accounting software Provide exceptional customer service by explaining complex tax concepts clearly and professionally Support marketing efforts to attract new clients through community engagement and professional networking

Requirements

Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related fields with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial management tools Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as corporate accounting, bookkeeping, analysis skills, and technical accounting practices Excellent math skills along with 10 key typing proficiency for data entry accuracy Experience in financial sales or marketing is a plus for client engagement efforts Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly Relevant certifications or educational background in accounting or finance preferred

Pay: $28.83 - $34.73 per hour
