Job Summary

Reporting to the Group Leader - Sidewalls, the Sidewall Builder is responsible for providing physical labor support during all phases of construction and production of the Sidewalls building department. And making sure the department is in order at the end of every day.

Essential Functions

MUST BE DEPENDABLE- BY SHOWING UP TO WORK EVERYDAY Must be able to lift materials up to 50 pounds Know how to staple, nail, use screw gun and drill/impact Know how to read a blue print Know how to operate a table saw, skill saw and a radial arm saw Know how to lay out side wall and build from scratch from framing to interior wall covering Know how to properly insulating exterior walls Know proper measurements for windows, doors, ect; Must know how to set a sidewall to a floor Need to have- Tape measure, Hammer and Stanley knife

BE WILLING TO HELP IN OTHER DEPARTMENTS- WE ARE NOT A RATE SHOP

MUST FOLLOW ALL SAFETY GUIDLINE'S

Comply with all company safety and health guidelines and perform duties in such a manner that will NOT create a hazard or cause an injury to yourself or others Wear personal protective equipment as required for the job and help to properly maintain the equipment Report all accidents (including near misses) and injuries to the supervisor immediately Help with housekeeping and storage of materials to insure that the work area is free from unsafe conditions that may cause accidents. Notifying the supervisor when additional assistance is needed Participate in safety training and be informed of emergency procedures Receive proper training before operating machinery or equipment Read MSDS sheets and be informed about chemicals being used in your department Understand that compliance with the safety policies and practices of C & B is a condition required for employment

Physical Demands

Ability to lift, move or handle parts weighing up to 30 pounds on a consistent basis Ability to lift, move or handle parts weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis Ability to move from a standing position to a squatting or stooping position on a consistent basis Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time
