We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of the food industry. This role requires multitasking abilities, effective communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience from the moment they arrive.
Take food and beverage orders accurately using SpotOn POS systems.
Provide detailed menu information to guests, including specials and recommendations, while effectively upselling items to enhance their dining experience.
Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area throughout service.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service flow.
Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction with their dining experience.
Maintain knowledge of restaurant policies, procedures, and menu offerings to provide accurate information to guests.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
Familiarity with SpotOn POS is highly desirable.
Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing are essential.
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is required.
Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory.
