Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our painting and renovation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and commercial painting projects, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including restoration, remodeling, and new construction, utilizing a wide range of tools and materials. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical skills necessary for high-quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and ensure accurate application of finishes. Lead a team of experienced painters and assistant painters. Use hand tools such as scrapers, putty knives, caulking guns, and carpentry tools for surface preparation and finishing touches. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly. Collaborate with project managers to estimate materials needed and adhere to project timelines. Ensure safety protocols are followed on-site at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in painting and surface preparation. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety standards is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Must have a reliable vehicle to get to work locations.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
