Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Always operate safely and within standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform set up; determine the tooling, feeds, speeds, etc. Operate multiple OD grinders safely while making good parts at rate. Notify manager of any safety, quality or productivity issues immediately. Verify dimension of ground workpiece for conformance to specifications; using such measuring instruments as micrometers, dial indicators and gauge blocks. Able to read and interpret drawings. Communicate effectively with other employees and managers as part of the Team. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Experience on both manual and CNC OD grinding machines. (Mitsubishi, Studer or Toyoda experience a plus). Can read and interpret prints/drawings and design and implement a setup. Will periodically need to lift heavy objects. Must be honest and punctual. Arrive ready to work on time and no hiding bad parts. Good communication skills. Communicate effectively with teammates and complete all shop floor paperwork accurately, completely and neatly. Basic math skills; addition, subtraction and multiplication. Proficient in the use of analog micrometers and calipers. Uniforms are provided and cleaned. Will need to provide and wear steel or composite toe non-slip shoes.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
