The Role

Mulvaney Mechanical Inc. has an opportunity for the right person to join our team as a mechanical estimator. The candidate will be responsible for the production of detailed bids and attending pre-bid and post-bid meetings. This candidate will be expected to interface with both our existing and prospective clients. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a broad knowledge of the industry and should be able to discuss and adapt to a wide range of sectors, including industrial, commercial, healthcare and educational. This is a permanent position with career advancement prospects.

The Company

Mulvaney Mechanical, Inc. is a full range mechanical contracting firm, engaged in the installation of process piping, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. We employ a permanent staff of dedicated professionals, managers, project foremen and licensed technicians to ensure efficient, quality workmanship on all projects. We employ up to 50 team members and perform mechanical projects up to $15 million.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in estimating projects ranging up to $5 million dollars of process piping, plumbing and hydronic heating/cooling. The candidate should have previous experience with competitive bid, negotiated, conceptual / design build schematic estimates and projects.

Skills/Attributes

Working knowledge of mechanical piping and airside systems as well as other related trades

Experience with Microsoft Office

Must be pro-active, inquisitive and systems oriented. Must show competency, accuracy, with strong organizational skills

Strong communication skills both written and oral

Must be a self-starter and team player

The ability and desire to provide solutions
