Home-Based Waiver Community Specialist DSP -Mount Bethel, PA

Are you passionate about making a difference in someone's life? Human Resources Center, Inc. (HRC) is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in their homes and communities.

Northampton County, PA| Mount Bethel | $19.00

10-20 hours a week to start, as caregiver needs increase, opportunity to work 40 hours

What You'll Do:

Assist individuals in participating in meaningful activities like volunteering, bowling, and visiting parks or libraries. Support individuals with personal care and hygiene as needed. Provide transportation to community outings and appointments. Ensure safety, including managing elopement risks when necessary. Foster independence and enhance daily living skills in a comfortable, home-based setting.

What We're Looking For:

Caring, patient, and reliable individuals with a passion for helping others. Ability to support individuals in both home and community settings.

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Experience in caregiving, respite, or community support (preferred but not required).

Requirements:

18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and eligibility to work in the U.S. Background check and physical exam Preferred experience with intellectual disabilities and mental health
