Olea, the newest restaurant and lounge in Monmouth County, is preparing to open and we're looking for an experienced, fast, and polished

Food Runner

to join our opening team.

This role is crucial to the flow of service. You'll be the connection between the kitchen and the dining room, making sure every dish is delivered quickly, correctly, and with the level of excellence Olea is known for.

What you'll do:

Run food from the kitchen to the dining room with speed, accuracy, and professionalism. Deliver dishes to the correct tables and present them confidently with proper descriptions. Support the expo line by organizing plates and ensuring accuracy before they leave the kitchen. Communicate with servers, managers, and chefs to keep service moving smoothly. Maintain clean and organized service stations throughout the shift. Assist with clearing, restocking, and keeping the dining room guest-ready. Ensure all plates meet Olea's presentation and quality standards.

What we're looking for:

Previous food runner or support role experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant. Strong attention to detail, urgency, and the ability to carry multiple plates. Professional appearance and comfortable interacting with guests when needed. Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude. Ability to multitask and stay calm during high-energy, fast-paced service. Reliable, organized, and committed to helping deliver an elevated guest experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 45 per week
