Job Description

Caruso is a family owned, 4th generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat, and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores all over the USA.
We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to work Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with occasional weekend work.

Job Summary:

The Dispatcher will work with Drivers to plan and assign delivery routes.

Duties/Responsibilities

Plan and assign drivers to delivery routes Creates and communicates work schedules to drivers Communicate effectively with customers and vendors Schedule delivery appointments Understand processes and procedures and provide training and guidance to drivers Schedule Preventative Maintenance, inspections and washes for trucks and trailers Work with manager and HR on driver corrective action Work with internal departments Serve as first point of escalation for drivers when issues arise Familiar with ELD technology (Samsara a plus) Enter data into Transportation Management System Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel Outlook, etc.) A CDL Class A license is a plus, but not required
